The Eric Bleumink Fund was established on May 23, 2000, with the primary goal of providing financial assistance to Master’s students from the poorest developing nations who wish to pursue a Master’s degree.
This effort will not only strengthen collaboration between the University of Groningen and universities in poor countries, but it will also help these countries improve their instructional expertise.

Admission Conditions: Applicants for the Groningen University Scholarship must meet the following requirements in order to be considered:
Have been awarded conditional admission to this preferred application (www.rug.nl/masters/alphabetical) rather than being backed by letters of recommendation, and have demonstrated exceptional academic performance during their studies.
having received excellent grades throughout their bachelor’s or undergraduate studies; possess great English language ability, as indicated by the entrance standards for this preference application; and
Make yourself available for the entire period of the program and then commit to participating fully in all of its activities.
Make sure you are physically fit so that you can order medical health insurance from Holland, and look at Appendix 1 to see if a country is financially viable.
Have examined all other potential sources of financing for the research in question
The following are the requirements for English Language Proficiency: In most cases, candidates whose first language is not English are asked to demonstrate competency in the English language to the University’s rigorous standards.

You can’t do it right away. Fill out an application for a donation grant from the Eric Bleumink Fund (EBF). The nomination is based on 1) the submission of an application to at least one of the Master’s level programs and 2) the fulfillment of the nomination requirements established by the EBF.
Whether you have been nominated for an Eric Bleumink Fund (EBF) Donation Grant, you will be notified by February 1st, 2021, if you have been selected. If we do not contact you, we regretfully inform you that you have not been picked. Please do not contact us if you are using software to do so.
Only those applicants who have received a (conditional) offer of admission to a master’s program before February will be considered for this opportunity. This type of master application should be completed by the candidate prior to the due date in order to allow the Admissions Office sufficient time to process the application to an enterprise program on your behalf.

It is not feasible to actively apply for a scholarship from the Eric Bleumink Fund. To be considered, the student must be accepted (conditionally) into one of the Master’s programs before December 1st.
