What is the Slovak Government Scholarships All About?
The Slovak Republic created the Slovakia scholarship to encourage student mobility. The Slovak government offers scholarships to people who are interested in spending 3 to 10 months in Slovakia through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Research.
This visit must be for the purpose of research or study. The program functions as a platform for exchange between the Slovak Republic and other countries throughout the world.
Level/Field of Study
The Slovakia Scholarships application is open to students to pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in their chosen fields in the country.
Host Nationality
Scholarships are granted by the Slovak Government under the conditions for granting Official Development Assistance(ODA) defined by the OECD, including awarding the grant from the Slovakia Government Scholarship to persons with Slovak Living status abroad.
Eligible Nationality
Slovak Scholarships application is open to students from the following countries:
Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kenya, Republic of Sudan, Kosovo, Moldova, Mongolia, Palestinian Territories, Ukraine, and Vietnam.
Requirements and Eligibility for Slovak Government Scholarships for International students 2021-2022
Under the following circumstances, a national of a partner country may be awarded a Slovak Government Scholarship:
a) If the individual possesses the following qualifications:
a temporary residency as a third-party national who has gained the status of a Slovak Living Abroad, 10) a temporary residence as a Slovak Living Abroad 11) or the right to stay in the Slovak Republic for more than three months, 12) b) The individual is:
a full-time student in any of the academic programs listed in subsection 2 of the notice who exhibits command of the Slovak language at the level necessary by that public institution; or participation in language education for the purpose of higher education (“language education”).
c) A person who applies for a government scholarship on or after September 1st of the year in which the application is made,
If you are studying in a first or second level academic program or an academic program that combines first and second level studies in such an academic program, you must be at least 18 years old and not more than 26 years old in language education. If you are studying in an academic postgraduate course or in such an academic program, you must be at least 23 years old and not more than 35 years old in language education.
